Feedcometbazar is an independent informational website about acoustic architecture for private homes. We write for homeowners, renovators and readers trying to understand why one room feels calm while another carries every conversation.

Our starting point is the distinction between blocking sound and controlling reflections. From there, we follow the construction: a door edge, a floating floor perimeter, a service opening or a continuous wall junction. We favour explanations that help you ask better questions rather than shopping lists that imply a universal cure.

An improvement you can hear is valuable. A performance claim still needs evidence.

How to read our references

We refer to recognised standards and guidance to explain the type of evidence relevant to a decision. ISO 717 ratings, ISO 16283 field measurements and ISO 354 absorption testing answer different questions. A reference does not mean that a suggested detail has been tested, or that a particular product will meet a target in your home.

Standards can be revised and local requirements vary. Consult the current documents and an appropriately qualified professional for design, compliance or contractual decisions. We are not a standards body, testing laboratory or building-control authority.

Useful starting points include the Institute of Acoustics, the Association of Noise Consultants and the government's Approved Document E guidance for England.

What we do not promise

We do not offer a remote diagnosis, certify an assembly or guarantee an acoustic outcome. Photographs and concept diagrams illustrate mechanisms; they are not construction instructions. Structural work, fire-stopping, electrical alterations and ventilation changes need competent project-specific advice.
